Since launching the business in 2005, Just Bedding has rapidly become Australia’s leading online manchester and bedding retail store. Receiving 60,000 monthly click-throughs, the company is completely dedicated to providing the best possible user experience to its virtual window shoppers and the 35,000 customers registered to the site.

The Challenge:

Unlike traditional retailers, the company is purely web-based with no bricks and mortar retail presence. With this, Just Bedding is faced with the challenge of having to create a memorable user experience for each and every visitor to the site, keeping customers coming back for more.

Just Bedding needed a reliable web-host that ensured the weight of running a 24-hour business was lifted from the shoulders of the in-house team. They also required a web-hosting team with the technical capability to scale with the growing popularity of the site due to ballooning demand for online retail shopping.

The Anchor Solution:

Just Bedding has partnered with various web-hosting providers since beginning operations in 2005 but none completely catered to the robust server and system needs of the site. For many years, Just Bedding’s three-person technical team felt swamped with administrative tasks that hampered focus on business growth activities and innovation.

After onboarding Anchor in September of last year, Just Bedding’s technical team has been able to sleep more sound with Anchor taking on system and server tasks that usually kept them working overtime. According to Just Bedding’s website administrator Gabriel Luis, Anchor has enabled him to leverage his time more productively, focussed on enhancing the growth and scope of the site.

“With Anchor, I’m now able to spend my time on website conversions, analysis, development, design and search optimisation. Previously, I could have spent upwards of 10 hours a week on system administration and intricate tasks that required tireless prior research,” said Gabriel.

“Anchor handles anything from email setup to main registration, antivirus updates and server redirects for security. Before Anchor, these jobs were usually handled by myself – with setup server tasks and compliances easily taking up my entire week. So it’s freed up my mornings and week, to take on more business related tasks rather than individual little things, “ continued Gabriel.

Since partnering with Anchor, Just Bedding has experienced a fifty per cent lift in monthly click-traffic, which Gabriel believes wouldn’t have been possible without Anchor.

Earlier this year, Just Bedding participated in the annual Click Frenzy campaign which would have been previously unavailable without Anchor’s server support. With a call to Anchor a day prior, Anchor seamlessly scaled the site to ensure it could withstand a huge spike in traffic on the day, taking any back-end frenzy out of the day.

“Anchor simply upped the server package to cater to the increase in traffic for this day. Anchor created a precautionary landing page in case there were any issues with user’s reaching the site, yet there was no need for this.

Anchor’s improved server offering coupled with Magento’s enterprise cashier facility software, has delivered faster loading speeds for Just Bedding visitors as they step through the store.

The Results:

Since partnering with Anchor, Just Bedding has continued to boost its support package following its rising click-fall to the site. With over 1,000 transactions being processed per month, and daily traffic continuing to multiply, Just Bedding is set to continue its growth in popularity with Anchor continuing to scale to customer demand.
