Anchor is proud to announce a new partnership with Magento as a hosting provider. This relationship recognises Anchor’s expertise and experience when it comes to providing comprehensive hosting solutions for Magento stores. Anchor is the first Australian hosting company to attain this partnership status, and only the eighth worldwide.

Anchor’s ability to deliver high-performance and scalable Magento deployments was highlighted by their work with Games Paradise. Following the migration to Anchor’s servers, their site loaded some five times faster, and availability was rock solid, greatly improving their customers’ experience.

As a company that’s been around for over ten years, Anchor has been doing managed hosting for a long time now. In that time they’ve built up strong relationships with local developers and Magento solution partners. By taking advantage of these close working relationships, Anchor provides efficient and effective solutions for their Magento customers.

In recent years Anchor has also pushed their presence to the United States. As well as opening up new commercial opportunities for the company, the extended reach means they can help existing customers make their own push across the Pacific and into the US market.

Anchor CEO Keiran Holloway spoke about what the company hopes to achieve through this partnership:

“We’ve got a lot of experience setting up and supporting commerce sites for our customers, both locally with companies like Games Paradise and Woolworths, and in the US. What we want to do is help level the playing field for Australian retailers.

While not without a few hiccups, the recent ClickFrenzy event highlighted that there’s a lot of interest from Aussie retailers and consumers in this sphere – it’s there. We want to make it easier for local business to get themselves setup as e-merchants and compete with offshore retailers.”
