Anchor Christmas Party 2012

December 14, 2012 Company News, General

Anchor held its annual Christmas party last Friday, and in a departure from the usual it wasn’t held upon a seaworthy vessel. So while enthusiastic statements to that effect were not possible, our presence at Le Pub appealed to the Redditor in us.

Le Pub is a cozy little underground establishment just a couple of blocks from Anchor HQ, so we packed up for the week and moseyed on down in no time at all.

Parties are always more fun when people get a bit dressed up. To make this easier we decided to do it a bit differently this year: instead of visiting the costume shop to try and pick fun and silly outfits, we got an assortment of bits and pieces to add some pizazz. This was a lot of fun, and we reckon it worked pretty fantastically.

This was also a great chance for everyone to meet and greet our newest Anchorite, Jared. You’ll be hearing more about him in the near future. 🙂

Steven, looking mighty relaxed in his garland and glasses and hats(!), was only narrowly beaten by Christian for our best dressed award of the night. He wins a $150 Thinkgeek voucher for his efforts.

All in all, we had a great time and it was the perfect way to unwind as the year comes to a close. 2013 is barely a few weeks away now, and we’re looking forward to ringing in the new year!
