You get to choose how much or how little support we provide to you. All virtual servers come standard with Unmanaged support. Our custom support service helps you with anything that's not covered by your chosen support pack.

Unmanaged

Ensures your virtual server is online. We monitor the virtual server continuously, if it stops responding we are notified and the virtual server is restarted. All hardware faults at the host level are monitored and automatically rectified by Anchor.

Ping monitoring

Monitoring is performed via ICMP, if the virtual server fails to respond Anchor is notified via email and paging services.

Monitoring and response is provided 24 x 7.

Hardware replacement

If there is a hardware fault on the host system Anchor will be alerted and the components replaced to restore operation of the server.


Secured

In addition to monitoring your Australian virtual private server we make sure it remains secure by firewalling it and keeping all of the supporfted applications up to date. You can download a description and detailed specification for secured support.

Ping monitoring

Service monitoring

The core services (web, mail, database, ssh & ftp) and up to 5 additional ports are monitored individually. In the event of service failure we will log in to the virtual server and attempt to restore the service and perform basic diagnostics.

System health monitoring

Anchor will monitor the load on the server and advise you if there are any problems to be aware of.

Hardware replacement

If the hardware in the host systems fails Anchor will be alerted and the components replaced to restore operation of the server.

Patching

All security related patches will automatically be applied to your virtual server. The latest vendor updates and patches will be applied upon request.

Patching and application of bugfixes is one of the most important steps (more important than firewalling) in maintaining the security of your server.

Firewall management

A software based firewall is configured and maintained on the virtual server. All change requests are provided free of charge.


Fully Managed

Fully managed support provides a complete hands off approach to server management. We monitor, patch, secure and manage the configuration of your server.

Anchor Custom support (or Remote hands)

For everything that's not covered by your chosen support pack we have Anchor custom support for your Linux or Windows virtual private server hosting in Australia. We can make literally anything that runs on Linux or Windows work (for a fee of course).
