Anchor offers three different options for backing up your critical data to protect your business:- Daily onsite backup to disc array
- Daily offsite tape backup
- Monthly offsite data archiving
Daily onsite backup to disc array
A large drive array is operated that provides you with space to store your data on a remote secure system.
You can choose to have your data automatically copied each day by Anchor or maintain the flexibility of controlling what data is backed up yourself.
In the event that you need access to your backups this system provides much faster access than data stored on tape and offers you the capacity to access it any time.
This option is the cheapest backup solution as it is entirely automated.
Daily offsite tape backup
Your data is kept both on our local drive array (as above) and additionally copied to tape each day for offsite rotation.
This solution provides both rapid recovery of data (from the disc array) and the safety of ensuring your data is housed in a separate physical location.
Data retention period is approximately 10 days.
Monthly offsite data archiving
In addition to regular backups Anchor can take a snapshot of your data and store it permanently on a single use tape.
Each tape is kept indefinitely and stored securely offsite
