Database interfaces
Access to yourhosted MySQL database is most commonly via a web interface (using PhpMyAdmin) or the command line through SSH.
Direct remote access to MySQL databases are provided via an SSH tunnel.
Detailed documentaiton is provided to help you make connections to your MySQL database from commonly used programming languages.
Backups
Backups of all databases are made on a daily basis automatically. If more frequent backups are required these can easily be configured to copy the data into your hosting account via a MySQL database dump called from a cron job.
