Sending Email via Anchor - Mozilla Thunderbird

This guide assumes your email is already setup within Mozilla Thunderbird, and you are simply needing to change the outgoing mail server to Anchor from your ISP.

  1. From Thunderbird's main screen, select Tools and Account Settings.

  2. From the left-hand menu, select Outgoing Server (SMTP), then Add.

  3. Enter in the dialogue
    • Server Name: smtp.anchor.net.au

    • Port: 587

    • Use Username and password: Ticked

    • User Name: Your mailbox username

    • Use secure connection: TLS

  4. Click "OK", then select the "mail.anchor.net.au" entry and then click Set Default.

  5. You can now click "OK" - outbound mail will now be sent via Anchor's mail server.
