Email settings
Email services are included with all web hosting and email hosting accounts. The following sections explain how to setup your email client for use with Anchor's email services.
Setting up your email client
Instructions are provided for setting up many email clients on different operating systems, if your email client is not listed, please contact us for assistance. Before you start, please ensure you have all the details for your account. You will need to know;
Your email address: yourname@yourcompany.com.au or similar
Your email username/mailbox name: your username with a number on the end (eg anchor1)
Your mailbox password
Your outgoing SMTP server, Anchor does not provide SMTP services, your ISP will provide one
NOTE: Some Microsoft email clients use wizards to setup accounts, which means if you have the information above, that is all you will need, the wizard will tell you what to enter and when.
NOTE: If you're mail client has the option of leaving mail on the server you must make sure it is not checked. Leaving mail on the server will slow down your email service and potentially cause problems.
