Australian Zope & Plone hosting
Anchor is dedicated to supporting the latest technologies for web application deployments. Zope and Plone forms and important part of this offering. With our own internal and website development having been migrated to Python some years ago we're excited about the recent interest and uptake of Zope and Plone and are proud to be offering an solution hosted in Australia.

Anchor can do more for you than just host your Zope/Plone applications. Our support engineers are available at any time to assist in configuration, setup and deployment.

Deployment details
Our primary web server of choice (Apache) is configured as a proxy in front of the Zope web application server.
All lifecycle management of the Zope & Plone installation is performed at the user account level. This means you have the capacity to:
- Start and stop the web appliction server
- Full control of the Zope configuration parameters.
By proxying all requests via Apache we gain the flexibility and performance of Zope whilst still maintaining the security and stability of the Apache webserver between your application and the public Internet.

Application update policy & process
Anchor continuously monitors and applies updates to all vendor supported applications deployed on Anchor infrastructure to maintain stability and security.
We do not apply major updates to any application which can effect the stability of live/deployed client services.
Because lifecycle management is controlled at the account level, the version of Zope/Plone used in a given deployment can be updated in future by the developer.
Since Zope & Plone are installed on per instance basis, applications of security updates, patches and upgrades can be performed by the user or as requested by Anchor. They are not automatically applied.
Scalability
As your Zope/Plone application becomes more demanding Anchor can walk you through the process of supplying more resources on the shared environment or perform a seamless migration to your own dedicated server.
