Anchor provides services in four key areas, domain name registrations, shared website and email hosting, managed servers and co-location.

Domain name registration

As an one of a very limited number of Australian domain name registrars Anchor can provide domain name registration for .au domain names. Through partnerships we also provide registrations of .com, .net, .org, .biz and .info domains.

Shared Website and Email hosting

A range of hosting services are provided for small business operating on a shared hosting environment. The shared environment provides a very low cost service backed by skilled team of support staff. All hosting services are based on open source applications.

When asked what we do (and receiving countless blank looks) we often use the analogy of hosting being like 'space' or 'real estate' on the Internet.

Managed/Dedicated servers

Dedicated servers offer each client their own individual server providing both performance and flexibility. A range of services are provided to cater for small business through to high volume e-commerce applications. Anchor has the capability to support almost any application which can be run on a Linux operating system.

The dedicated server offering allows companies that are highly dependent on Internet facing applications to outsource the task of maintaining a high availability service and concentrate running their business.

Co-location

Using the data centre clients have access to an ideal environment for storage of server equipment. The data centre facilitates the operation of highly reliable services with multiple redundant high speed Internet connections and backup power services (UPS and diesel generator).
