Service Delivery Manager
Anchor is one of Australia’s leading Hosting Companies. With thousands of clients throughout Australia and the US, we’re looking for a reliable service delivery manager, to be responsible for making sure that we promptly, accurately and — most importantly — professionally deliver world-class hosting services in a timely fashion.
Reporting directly to the CEO, your primary responsibility is quite simple:
Get services out the door – whilst maintaining Anchor’s long established reputation of providing high quality managed services.
To elaborate further, some of your daily tasks would include:
- Working closely with both our sales and technical teams during the pre-sales phase to ensure that the solution design accurately meets the clients requirements and expectations.
- Oversee the day to day delivery of standard VPS/Dedicated Servers solutions, which include:
- Coordinating builds within the provisioning team
- Pro-actively communicating with our clients throughout the entire delivery process
- Ensuring that what is delivered is consistent with the design
- Smoothly transitioning deployed systems to the care of the support team
- Post-hand over communication with clients to verify that they’re supremely happy with the solution provided
- Involvement with the procurement of hardware and equipment necessary for service delivery (servers, racks, data centre space etc)
In addition to overseeing the standard run-of-the-mill VPS and Dedicated servers you will also have the tenacity and project management skills to get involved with the larger, more complex build projects. To fulfill this aspect, you will need to be able to:
- Work with our internal team to accurately define build scopes
- Plan, allocate and coordinate any required resources for builds
- Monitor and control all aspects of larger projects and make sure that you can deliver on-time.
Some of your personal traits will include:
- Exceptional eye for detail — bordering on obsessive compulsive
- A keen interest in technology, and the capacity to keep abreast of new technologies
- Be smart, keen and capable of getting products out the door
- The ability to be highly efficient, a careful planner and creative problem solver
- A genuine interest in continual process improvement
- Experience dealing with technical vendors; and
- Be a fantastic team player who can relate well to people — technical or otherwise!
