Service Components
Power
All sites are designed to provide sufficient power supplies to service all equipment within each facility. All power is backed up by specifically designed back up facility such as generator and UPS.
Direct Current (-48V DC)
All facilities are equipped with state of art Direct Current (DC) equipment. The equipment generally consists of rectifier(s), batteries and distribution equipment/boxes. 4-hour batteries are installed at all sites. All batteries are charged from mains (AC) supply. Custom designed, installed and methodically maintained emergency diesel generator automatically backs this up. Loss of power is immediately visible at NOC from all sites. NOC manned 24×7×365 to respond immediately to any loss of power.
Alternate Current (240V AC)
AC power will be supplied as an option to the Co-Location customer. AC will be supplied between 10 to 32 Amp single phase. If the customer will require 3-phase supply this can be accommodated up to 32 Amps 3 phase.
UPS
All AC power is protected by UPS backup.
Generator Back-Up
AC power supply is backed up at all sites by generator and ancillary equipment. All generator systems are supplied with fuel tanks with fuel capacity of minimum 3 days, 24 hours per day at maximum loads. Generators are appropriately maintained and test run on monthly basis. The service and test runs do not require shut-down. Operations and Customer Care will coordinate with customers to ensure they are aware of impending tests. These shutdowns do NOT cause any loss of power to customer equipment.
Floor coverings
All floors are covered by antistatic vinyl.
Grounding
All sites have dual grounding protection: Building earth – all racks, cable trays and non-communication equipment is bonded to it Technical (Communications) earth – all communication equipment is bonded to it via communications earth bars located within the racks.
Fire Protection
Fire protection is provided at Anchor Co-Location sites in the following form: VESDA smoke detection and alarm system Pre-action fire protection FM 200 gaseous system Connection to house fire control system Alarms are visible by NOC from all sites
Air Conditioning
All sites have minimum 20% redundant capacity of cooling. Air conditioning is specifically designed to site-specific conditions to deliver constant environmental climate of 22°C and humidity level of 49%. Air conditioning units are state of art design. Units are either water or air-cooled. Where water coolers are employed minimum of 20% redundancy is designed in. Alarms are visible by NOC from all sites.
